words.fyi is free to use and does not require an account. You may use the word finder, solvers, and games for personal, non-commercial purposes, including as a study or practice aid for word games such as Scrabble, Words With Friends, Boggle, and crosswords. You agree not to use the site in any way that disrupts it for other visitors, or that breaks any applicable law.

Scraping, bulk downloading, or automated querying of the word lists and solver endpoints is not permitted. The site is intended for people looking up words, not for harvesting the underlying data. We may rate limit or block traffic that behaves otherwise.

Our word lists are drawn from publicly available English dictionaries and are provided as a reference. Different games and tournaments use different official dictionaries, so a word that appears here may not be accepted in a particular game, and the reverse is also true. We make no guarantee that any word listed will be valid in your game, and we are not responsible for the outcome of games played using this site.

Game progress is stored in your own browser rather than on our servers. Clearing your browser data, switching device, or using private browsing will lose that progress. We cannot restore it for you.

The site’s design, original written content, and software are the property of words.fyi LLC. Game names such as Scrabble, Words With Friends, Boggle, and Wordle are trademarks of their respective owners. words.fyi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them; those names are used only to describe what our tools help with.

The site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Adverts are served by third parties who may use cookies to show relevant ads. How that works, and how to opt out, is covered in our Privacy Policy.

We aim to keep words.fyi available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the site may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, words.fyi LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of data or loss arising from reliance on a word list.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use words.fyi after a change means you accept the revised terms.
